I was a little apprehensive about travelling to Vietnam; I had read so many blogs about how hostile the Vietnamese were towards travellers. Luckily, I did not experience any of this and actually it was completely the opposite. Granted, the people weren’t quite as lovely as those in Thailand or Laos. The Vietnamese didn’t seem to care for travellers too much, but were great when you engaged with them. Because of this I loved Vietnam; it made travelling there all the more ‘real’.

ROUTE | Hue | Hanoi | Cat Ba | Ho Chi Minh
INCLUDING | Ha Long Bay | Cu Chi Tunnels |

LIKES | Everywhere I went in Vietnam was gritty and real. They haven’t adapted for tourists, and don’t intend to!
DISLIKES | The traffic is absolutely crazy. If you want to get hit by a motorcylist, on the PATH.. go to Vietnam!

Ha Long Bay for the Budget-er!

Cu Chi Tunnels; not for the claustrophobic!
