Whilst making plans to visit Asia, I had planned to go in to Thailand and whizz through as fast as I could. I thought I wouldn’t like it. I thought it had been ‘done’ already and so many of my friends already had so many stories to tell about here. This, of course, is true but while there are tourists everywhere Thailand has still managed to maintain it’s charm. The people are fantastic and travelling here is just so comfortable. I loved it.

Likes: welcoming people (land of smiles!) |
Dislikes: it’s filled to the brim with tourists. More specifically; holidaymakers! |

Route: Bangkok | Ko Tao | Railay | Phi Phi | Chang Mai | Chang Rai | Ko Lanta | Krabi
Including:
PADI certification in Ko Tao | Rock climbing | Dives | Legend Elephant Sanctuary

Food to try: pad thai (you won’t escape it!) | mango sticky rice | roti |

Are elephant sanctuaries in Chang Mai worth the guilt?

Mass produced diving certificates; Koh Tao.
